Three different taro planting materials corms, comels and cut corms were evaluated for their yielding capacities with the Rosadu habain variety at Jima for five years on randomized complete block design. The results of the experiment have shown that using corms for planting comels gave highest significant tuber yield with 662.70 q ha-1 at P(0.01) level and using comels gave the lowest tuber yield with 499.08 q ha-1 respectively. The yield components (number of tuber produced per plant, tuber length and diameter) were not affected by different planting materials. Based on this result taro corm is recommended for planting material.
