The impact of decreased foot-distances on the vegetative and generative parts of the sunflower plant
1993
Lukacs, P.
At some new perspective sunflower varieties the impact of the foot-number has been studied. It has been stated that their reactions to decreased cultivation area were similar to those of varieties cultivated in the large schale farming, namely elongated stem, decreased stem diameter, decreased leaf surface, decreased disc-diameter and seed-bulk, increased oil content, decreased 1000 achene-mass. At most varieties 45 thousand is the optimum foot-number with a corresponding 0,22 m2 optimum cultivation area. For having again in increasing trend in the average yield we consider to be very important the achieving a homogeneous 42-47 thousand foot-number
