In this paper, we analyzed several dairy farms in the KONSEN area. They are raising their technological level without enlarging their farm size. To explain this process and the cause of their progressive actions, 1) To compare the study group to other dairy farms in the same area, we found that the members of the study group raised their income by decreasing the cost of production with a change of product structure. 2) From the information which was given to us by the study group, we explained that the reduction came about as a result of the group's characteristics. 3) From the bookkeeping of the farmer of the study group, we found that the decrease in cost was fostered by the systematic change of their farm's product structure, and that the reduction of the farm size was a phenomenon brought about by the change
