The paper suggests that while relying on the Kainji experience, each researcher should always regard each ecosystem as a law union itself. Each is unique, characteristic and typical. It is desirable that the researcher should not merely reproduce the experience from elsewhere but to use such experience in assessing objectively the new water body that he may be called upon to investigate
