The tolerance of Volvariella volvacea to fungicide was tested by subjecting it to different levels of benomyl: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 40 ppm, respectively. It was found out that Volvariella volvacea withstood the effect of benomyl at 5 ppm, 10 ppm, 20 ppm with mycelial growth of 44.71 mm, 43.89 mm, 42.70 mm and 40.80 mm, respectively compared to the control of 85.38 mm. Furthermore, Volvariella volvacea was found to resist the effect of benomyl at 40 ppm when reapplied by gaining an increase of 96.55 percent in the mycelial growth. This study also revealed the striking efficiency of benomyl at 40 ppm to inhibit Penicillium sp., Aspergillus sp. and Trichoderma sp. without affecting the growth of Volvariella volvacea
