The productivity of hybrid corn (SM 305) + forage legumes (Desmanthus virgatus, Clitoria ternatea and Crotolaria juncea) followed by mungbean (Pag-asa 7) + forage legumes intercropping was conducted to evaluate the possibility of integrating forage legume with food crops as source of food, feed and green manure production for the succeeding rice crop. Both crops were simultaneously planted under minimum tillage. Treatments were laid out in RBC design with three replications. Rice-corn + forage legume relayed with legumes showed that the forage legumes did not significantly affect the yield of corn but reduced the yield of relayed mungbean. Forage yield was significantly affected by corn. Yield of succeeding rice was increased by the incorporated forage legumes. The most promising systems were corn/mungbean + clitoria-rice and corn/mungbean + desmanthus-rice. Both systems produced high corn and rice yields, mungbean yield and about 11-11.6 DM/ha of fodder (forage legumes, rice straw, corn stover, and mungbean residue). The animal feed can support up to 5 animals throughout the year
