Reproductive and meat performance of ducks from three conservative and created from them a synthetic group

The investigations were conducted on ducks with an English origin from conservative groups named A1, A2 and A3 (two generations of parents and five generations of progeny) originated from these conservative ones. The influence of A1 conservative group demonstrated by descending body weight at the age of 7 weeks, shorter keel length and lower meat and fat content of birds from crosses. Group A2 put performance of crosses at a medium level of A1 and A3 group in respect to meat treats and at a lower level with regard to reproduction. Group A3 influenced the most positively on crosses F1 to F5 in relation to body weight at the age of 3 and 7 weeks, keel bone length, breast muscles thickness, meat and fat content. The synthetic group can replace conservative groups and can begin new strain
