Postemergence weed control in yellow lupin (Lupinus luteus L.) grown for seeds

Influence of postemergence application of Goltix 70 WP (metamitron) herbicide with different adjuvants on yield of yellow lupin was investigated. In addition the Pivot 100 SL (imazethapyr) herbicide was tested. The Goltix 70 WP herbicide gave good results for control of broadleaf weeds in yellow lupin. Addition of adjuvants to the postemergence spray solution allowed to use lower rate of herbicide. No injury of yellow lupin was observed when herbicide as postemergence application was used. The yield of yellow lupin was dependent on the timing and rate of herbicide application, addition of adjuvants as well as weed control efficacy
