Effect of many year's manure and slurry fertilization on organic carbon content in soils
1993
Mazur, T. (Akademia Rolniczo-Techniczna, Olsztyn (Poland). Katedra Przyrodniczych Podstaw i Skutkow Nawozenia)
It was found that comparing their humus-creative effect slurry was by 8-14 percent poorer than manure despite the fact that amounts of carbon introduced by both fertilizers were the same. The difference increased to 20-35 percent when doses of both fertilizers contained the same amounts of nitrogen. On the experiment with manure and NPK fertilization under plants cultivated in the 4-fields rotation of crops system the increases of humus content were 7-23 percent in case of manure application once for four years, and 36 percent after application in every year
