In the vegetables from areas not exposed to industrial pollution the copper content was 0.10-6.69 mg/kg, and zinc 1.10-27.90 mg/kg. In the vegetables from areas exposed to this pollution copper content was 0.10-3.26 mg/kg and zinc 0.88-27.90 mg/kg. In the vegetables from greenhouses copper amounted to 0.14-1.20 mg/kg and zinc 1.00-10.60 mg/kg. In fruit samples copper content was 0.04-7.01 mg/kg and zinc 0.60-17.30 mg/kg. In cereals copper ranged 1.14-11.68 mg/kg and zinc 7.20-72.07 mg/kg.
