Combining ability of the qualitative characters of winter wheat's grains

Combining ability of 4 qualitative characters of winter wheat's grains for 6 lines (derived from cultivars Parada, Alba, Hammer, Ikarus, Milan, Norman) and their 15 half-diallel hybrids F1 were determined. The grain had been harvested from single space-planted plants. It appeared that superiority of additive over nonadditive genes action controls 1000 grains weight and falling number. Approximated values of GCA and SCA control total protein contents and only GCA determines sedimentation value
