Selectivity of post-emergence herbicides for asparagus seedlings

16 herbicides and/or mixtures of them were applied when asparagus seedlings reached the height of 10-15 cm. To the most selective herbicides belonged: Pivot 100 LC (imazetapyr), at dose 1 cu. dm per ha, Tribunil 70 WP (metabenzthiazuron) 3 kg/ha, Mesoranil 50 WP (azprotryne) 3 kg/ha, Butisan S (metazachlor) 3 cu. dm per ha and Stop 330 EC (pendimetaline) 5 cu. dm per ha. Despite slight phytotoxicity high number and mean crow weight were obtained when Quartz Super (diflufenicane + isoproturone) 3 cu. dm per ha and mixtures of Gallant 125 EC (haloxyfop-etoxyethyl-ester) with Afalon 50 WP (linuron) 3 cu. dm per ha + 1 kg/ha and Command 480 EC (clomazone) with Afalon 50 WP (linuron) 0.3 cu. dm per ha + 1 kg/ha were applied
