Mechanical harvest of currant fruit. Pt. 3. Mechanical shaking of fruit

In the process of mechanical harvest shoots, clusters and berries are put in vibration with the shaking fingers. The magnitude of strig and fruit deflection in a vibrating motion depends on the length of cluster and weight of fruit which are characteristic traits of species and variety. During shaking cluster deflection should be as large as possible to break the equilibrium of single berries with inertia force. After performing the certain number of shaking motion peduncles are broken and fruits fall down. Statical force tearing does not decide about working speed of harvester, amplitude and frequency of vibration. It is expressed by the peduncle resistance to break
