The heritability coefficients and genetic and phenotypic correlations of body weight at 14, 21 and 28 day of life as well as weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion efficiency between the 14 and 21, 21 and 28 and between 14 and 28 day of life were estimated. Heritability coefficients ranged from 0.39 to 0.46 for body weight and for weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion index ranged from 0.04 to 0.34 were obtained. Positive genetic correlations for body weight or weight gain and feed intake as well as negative with feed conversion efficiency were stated
