An experiment on 15 calves given a.v. injections of ACTH at 0, 3, 7, 12 and 18 day of life was carried out. The significant effect of adrenal gland stimulation on an increase of plasma cortisol content but not on chloride, potassium and sodium content in the blood of calves was stated
