Microbial interactions affecting the survival of P. solanacearum. The entry of P. solanacearum into the roots of susceptible plants. The multiplication of P. solanacearum in susceptible plants. The role of hrp and other bacterial virulence in initiating disease. The identification of plant genes affecting resistance and susceptibility to bacterial invasion.
