The drought occurred in 1992 at the SCA Simnic was considered to be an factor in the evaluation of stress resistance in a material derived from the collection of ICCPT Fundulea. The data obtained together with those of 1991, which was a particularly favourable year for cropping wheat, have been studied regarding statistical treatment and there were obtained variation coefficients regarding both the height and the mass of 1000 grains. Only 9 of 120 lines analyzed during 2 experimental years did obtain a variation coefficient 10 percent for two characters, therefore a rate of high reaction to drought conditions. The scarce variability of STW under various stress conditions was used as an index of appraisal of the adaptability. There were noticed 5 lines of reduced variability for STW and STW 40 g. From this point of view the Hungarian line GK Sagvari-RF Super was marked out, with STW
