In the herd with 200 highly productive cows the supply with nutritive matters was studied in 15 dairy-cows after calving period according to criteria as follows: chemical composition of fodder, in vitro digestibility of fodder and of average consumed meal, composition of milk, urea and acetone in milk, urea in serum and total serum proteins (TSP). On the 46th day after calving cows consumed on the average 17,86 % short energy in a meal regarding the achieved production of 30.13 kg FCM. Acetone in milk was determined in trails (do 0,9 mg %) only in two cows on the t day after calving. No statistically significant correlations among the nutritive matters of average consumed meal on the t day after calving, concentration of urea in milk and serum and TSP were determined
