The antioxidative activity of two plant materials with lard as substrate (prepared by wet procedure) was investigated. Unripe fruit of Maclura aurantiaca Nutt and the overground part of the plant Oenothera biennis L. were used as plant material. It was found out that glyceride extract from Maclura fruit showed the antioxidative activity, which is important, because the lower toxicity of such extract can be expected, compared to the ethanol extract. The extract from dried fruit (stored during 18 months) showed practically the same activity as the extract from the fresh material. After longer storage of materials (30 months) the extract with lower antioxidative activity was obtained.
