Bean bacterization: Effect on plant and Azotobacter frequency in its rhizosphere
1994
Jarak, M. | Govedarica, M. | Milosevic, N. | Vasic, M. (Poljoprivredni fakultet, Novi Sad (Yugoslavia))
In this investigation, the pre-sowing bacterization of bean variety Echo was done with three strains of Rhizobium phaseoli (1b, 4, 9, 6) and their mixtures. The bacterization had positive effect on the dry matter mass and nitrogen content in the first half of the vegetation period of bean, while later on, the differences between non-inoculated and inoculated plants were insignificant. The bacterization had no effect on the length of the plants. The frequency of Azotobacter increased in the rhizosphere of all the inoculated plants at the end of the vegetation period, while in other phases, its frequency depended on Rhizobium phaseoli strain
