The distribution of cations in inbred lines maize lines differing in drought resistance and leaf ABA content in the field

The presented data show that drought resistant line Polj-17 has higher amount of cations in the leaves than drought susceptible line F-2 what can be reflected on its better water status regulation under stress conditions. Differences in cation content in reproductive parts of the plant between the investigated lines are not expressed, and thus-differences in metabolic activities following embryogenesis and kernel formation can not be expected.
