Investigation of the effect of genotype on traits of body development, 150 heads of age 4, 9, 14 and 24 months, was carried out on a farm where cattle with various rates of Holstein Friesian genes were bred. The effect of genotype of heifers aged 24 months caused significant (P 0.05) and highly significant (P 0.01) deviation of body development traits from the general average. Heifers with the highest rate of Holstein Friesian genes had the biggest body weight, height to withers, body length, depth and girth of chest compared to heifers with lowest rate of Holstein Friesian genes.
