The influence of crop density and row width on soybean (Glycine hispida Max.) characteristics and its seed yield under irrigated conditions and natural water regime
1994
Zaric, D. (Faculty of Agriculture, Belgrade (Yugoslavia))
Research was focused on three crop densities (400,000; 500,000 and 600,000 plants per ha), three row widths (30, 45 and 60 cm) and irrigation facilities with the 65 field water capacity (FWC). The results obtained were analyzed with respect to the influence of the factors on the morphological properties of the soybean plant, its yield properties, yield, harvest index, protein and oil content in the seed. The parameters analyzed were significantly affected by crop density and row spacing under various amounts of moisture in the soil (irrigated and nonirrigated conditions).
