Mycotoxins contamination of corn in the region of Vojvodina [Yugoslavia]

155 samples of corn were examined during 7 years (1986-1992) to determine content of aflatoxin B1, ochratoxin A and zearalenone. In 48 (30.96 per cent) of 155 samples one of three mycotoxins was found. 3 samples (1.93 per cent) contained aflatoxin B1 in concentration of 1 ppb. 42 samples (26.58 per cent) contained ochratoxin A as high as 0.01 to 0.24 ppm, and 18 samples (11.61 per cent) contained zearalenone as high as 0.04 to 25 ppm. The biggest number of samples in which mycotoxins were found was in 1986, 62.26 per cent of examined samples contained one of these mentioned mycotoxins.
