In recent years at the newly built and restructured potato stores in Bulgaria were adopted systems for trajectory ventilation. Two potato stores were examined, situated in two different geographic areas. Also different ventilation rates were tested, from 30 to 60 m3/t.h., the values of the temperature and of the relative humidity of potato store air having been constantly monitored. The obtained results show that the main microclimatic characteristics in most of the days were held within the specified limits under a ventilation rate reduction of down to 34. Electricity consumption was simultaneously investigated during the different technological periods of potato storage: "curative" period and "basic" period, by means of their area reading with three-tariff or two-tariff electric meters. A variant for regime use of the fans is suggested, whereby the average cost of the paid electric power is reduced.
