Conception of dairy cattle-breeding development in Latvia

The paper offers to Latvia a dairy farming mechanization development conception up to the year 2010. Latvia's dairy farming and its mechanization level in comparison with the advanced foreign countries in 1994 is analysed. Four stages have been set forward with the aim to achieve the level of the European Union countries in 2010. Possible measures have been indicated to reach the goal.
