Effect of micronutrients on nodulation and chickpea seed yield was determined in a sandy clay loam soil during 1986-87. Seed treatments were control (un- soaked), water soaked, MnS04 (0.2M), H3B03 (0.1 M) and ZnSO4(0.1M). The seed was soaked for six hours at the rate of 2 ml solution for one gram of seed and then dried again for six hours. The results revealed that emergence, final plant height, dry matter yield, number of pods and seeds per pod, 100-seed weight, seed yield fresh and dry weights of nodule, and protein contents were affected significantly, Soaking seed in ZnSO4 solution produced significantly higher seed yield (1727 kg/ha) than other treatments. However, the latter treatment decreased protein content significantly compared with other treatments.
