Participation of organic matter in sod-podzolic soils structure formation

A good correlation has been found between the number of water stable aggregates above 0.25 mm and organic matter together with its humic acids content for sod-podzolic soils of different cultivation rate. In the course of soil reclamation and cultivation water stable aggregates larger than 1 mm are shown to be changed to a greatest extent; humic acids and detritus are of paramount significance in their formation.
