An experience of compiling humus types cartograms

Average of humus types have been computed for the major soils of the centre and south of European Russia, they are supplied with deviation intervals for each type. A schematic map, scale 1:10 M, of humus types has been compiled; their zonal pattern is rather obvious there. When compiling this map, mean values of Ch.a./Cf.a. for soils predominant in soil mapping units have been implemented. Probable difficulties of the humus status cartographic representation are outlined
