Relationship between the suspended sediment and nutrient elements of stream water in Eastern watershed [Thailand]
1990
Vichit Rungpant
Quantities of suspended sediment of twenty-five watershed ranged from 97.17 to 215 milligrams per liter while the nitrate concentration ranged from 190.7 to 479.7 micrograms per liter. The phosphate content in stream water of 25 subwatershed ranged from 65 to 402 micrograms per liter. Lower than standard values, so it was no problem in Eastern Watershed. The changeable trend of the quantities of suspended sediment and nitrate in stream water increased with higher categories of watershed classification. Size and slope of watershed were directly related to the quantities of suspended sediments but this relationship was not found for the concentrations of nitrate and phosphate.
