Dujin, T. | Jovanovic, V. | Suvakov, D. (Naucni institut za veterinarstvo, Novi Sad (Yugoslavia))
It was established, during all the spring treatments with Fluvalinat preparation, from the number of destroyed varroa, that there was a low degree of infection of the bee societies with varroa. Three examinations of the percentage of diseased drone larvae and pupae in closed drone litters over the next two years showed that the percentage ranged from 5-17. During the autumn treatments the number of dead varroa in 1991 and 1992 i.e. in the first four treatments with Fluvalinat preparation, the number of dead varroa indicated a low degree of infection of bee societies with varroa, while a high degree of infection was established in 38 of the experimental beehives during the autumn treatment of 1993.
