The experiment with onion bulb production was set on two different agroecological localities on the following soil types: carbonate chernozem on less plato and moderate carbonate chernozem. The treatment with the Stomp 330 E preparation (pendimethalin herbicide), was realized with the quantity of 5 cubic dm/ha, with 600 cubic dm water per ha. The results showed that the content of pendimethaline residues in soil decreases during the vegetative period of onion, taking an average period of 50 days to degrade up to 50. During the vegetative period the greatese amounts of pendimethalin remained in soil layer 0-10 cm depth (87), then in the soil layer 10-20 cm 11.5, and in the soil layer 20-30 cm only 1.5.
