Bradicardia was diagnosed in 4 cows with chronic rumen fistulae whose ration contains too little roughages (2+2 kg per day) or after manual evacuation of the rumen content. Changes in heart rhythm (revealed by using heart rate autoregression analysis) were similar to an increase in parasympathetic tone
