A case study on the Tan'itsu amalgamation policies of agricultural co-operatives [Kagoshima prefecture, Japan]

Recently, the area-wide amalgamation policies of agricultural co-operatives have been mainly examined and promoted by some Prefectural Federations of Agricultural Co-operatives (KENCHU), with emphasis on the TAN'ITSU (unifying agricultural co-operatives in a prefecture) amalgamation policies, and it is strongly required to establish the theoretical and practical framework on those policies. s the first step to approach these objects, the main purpose of this paper considers the examination of the TAN'ITSU amalgamation policies of agricultural co-operatives in the early 1970' based on the case study in Kagawa prefecture. We can conclude that there are many points to apply and investigate for the present amalgamation policies of agricultural co-operatives in regard of the managemental organization in area-wide amalgamated agricultural co-operatives
