[Crop rotation on peasant farms]

The projects of peasant-farm land planning and crop rotation worked out by the Latvia State Land Service Land Cadastre Centre are discussed. The aim of the projects is to achieve a reasonable use of farmland and scientifically well-grounded crop rotation in order to maintain and improve soil fertility and obtain high yields of crops. The present situation in the use of land as well as the problems of crop rotation are explained. The research on crop rotation carried out at the Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture "Agra" is described.
