The article describes management practices for breeding ostriches under intensive conditions for egg production. Management aspects like reproduction, feeding, camps and general information on ostrich health and record keeping are covered. Advantages and disadvantages of this system are listed and it concludes that ostrich farming can, with proper management, result in a good income for Namibian farmers.
