Acoustic field of water melon surface is characteristic for fruits in good condition. In case of some internal or superficial damages the image of sound field changes substantially; dispersion and partial damping of sound wave energy occur. The comparison of theoretical studies and experimental data showed differences multiplied by 1.2-1.4 factor, either in inner wave refraction angle and vibration intensity, what confirm the excessive simplification in assumptions for theoretical analysis
