Zirconium in alluvial soils of central Vistula Valley and Zulawy
1996
Chojnicki, J. (Warsaw Agricultural University (Poland). Dept. of Soil Science)
Statistical analysis of the results indicated high positive correlation the content Zr with the content of silt fraction (0.1-0.2 mm), total content Na and positive correlation with content of sand fraction (1.0-0.1 mm). No positive correlation was found between the Zr content and total content of fractions lower than 0.02 mm and lower than 0.02 mm, organic carbon, Al, Fe, Mg, Ca, and K. Small diversification of Zr content and value CaO/Zr02 in the profile proved the initial stage of weathering process in the soils. Higher value Fe203/Zr02 in the deeper horizons of some profiles is caused by higher content of iron there. Higher content of Fe results probably from interaction of underground water
