Effect of long-term fertilization with pig slurry, farmyard manure and mineral fertilizers on physico-chemical properties of soil

The fertilization influenced the hydrogen ions and the alkaline elements base saturation in the sorption complex. The hydrolitical acidity was increased by about 0.04-0.49 mmol/100 g of soil in the layer of 0-25 cm and 0.09-1.09 mmol/100 g of soil in the layer of 75-100 cm. The fertilization with farmyard manure in comparison with slurry more influenced higher sorption complex capacity and base saturation of its in the alkaline cations. The sum of the alkaline cations, especially of Ca(2+) and Mg(2+) was lower in the deeper layers when the sorption complex base saturation was higher. The farmyard manure was more profitable influencing the exchange potassium content than the other fertilizers. The potassium content and base saturation in the sorption complex decreased together with the sampling depth
