Paper reviews the literature on origin, history and use of Norin 10 dwarfing genes Rht1 and Rht2 in breeding wheat. The problems in dwarf wheat breeding encountered by the farmers, certification of seeds and growing of wheat with Rht1 and Rht2 dwarfing genes were also discussed
