Elaboration and use of systems of biological protection of agricultural crops in Russia

The authors gave a brief survey of biological methods used in last 5 years in Russia. For example in 1994 protective measures were performed on the total area of 30.7 millions ha, among which biological control was applied on 1.6 million ha. One of the most effective entomophagous insects in the control of greenhouse pests were: Macrolophus sp., Phytoseiulus sp., Encarsia formosa, Cycloneda sp., Micromus sp., Amblyseius sp. To perspective entomphags against aphids occurring in protected cultures belonged: Aphidoletes aphidimyza, Lisiphlebus fritzmulleri, L. Japonica, Aphidius matricariae, A. gifuenzis
