Tolerance of Venturia inaequalis spp. to ergosterol biosynthesis inhibitor fungicides in Poland. Pt. 1. Decrease of effectiveness of ergosterol biosynthesis inhibitor fungicides in control of apple scab
1995
Nowacka, H. (Research Institute of Pomology and Floriculture, Skierniewice (Poland))
The most serious decrease of effectiveness of ergosterol biosynthesis inhibitor (EBI) fungicides was observed for fenarimol which has been used for the longest time. Many of the V. inaequalis isolates with the lower sensitivity to fenarimol have been found in the orchard where EBI fungicides were used for the longest time. However, despite occurrence of many V. inaequalis strains with low sensitivity to fenarimol in this orchard, other EBI fungicides such as difenoconazole and flusilazol have proved to be effective in control of apple scab
