On the basis bacteriological and chemical analyses it was found shallow well waters exposed to pollution contained high total number of bacteria, coliforms and also high concentration N-NH4 sup(+) and N-NO3 sup(-). On the other hand deep wells localized in different villages, were characterized by lower concentration of ammonium and nitrate
