Lotus corniculatus as a valuable element of dry meadows in Olsztyn lakeland

In 1993-95 in Olsztyn region 20 grassland communities of high Lotus corniculatus percentage were studied. Two phytocenoses, Lolio-Cynosuretum and Arrhenatheretum elatioris, were determined. Most frequent grass species among them were Festuca rubra, F. pratensis, Poa pratensis and Dactylis glomerata. In the soil, considered as slightly acid and neutral, high Mg, moderate Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn and low P, K contents were found.
