Influence of fertilization with poultry droppings on botanical composition of meadow sward

Within 1981-85 in random block experiment on permanent meadow the poultry droppings were used every year at doses equivalent to 220 and 440 kg N/ha (supplemented with P+K in mineral form) in comparison to mineral fertilization only at the same NPK doses. The changes in botanical sward composition were affected mostly by nutrient doses. In sward fertilized with higher mineral N-doses the increase of Dactylis glomerata followed by icreasing share of Agropyron repens were observed. However, decreasing content of Agropyron repens was observed in the sward fertilized over 5 years with poultry manure
