The measure in which the impubere gilts used as embryo donors can reduce the generation interval in genetic improvement of swine was studied. Compared to the average age of puberty (220-240 days) the trial was carried out on impubere gilts of 180 and 150 days old, every group of age being hormonal treated in two ways. For gilts of 180 days old the first variant consisted of Prolan A + E (400 IU PMSG + 200 IU HCG) and the second PG 600 Intervet. Both variants performed a positive response (92.3 per cent and 91.6 per cent) with a high ovulation rate (19.2 and 18.6) and a number of collected embryos between normal limits (12.3 and 11.9). For gilts at 150 days old the first variant consisted of a unique dose of 400 IU PMSG + 200 IU HCG and the second - preliminary two injections of 0.5 ml Sintopholin at 48 hours interval followed after another 48 hour by seric gonadotropin. The estrus was detected at 45 and respective 75 per cent of gilts with 11 and respective 9.2 corpora lutea and with 4.5 and respective 6 normal embryos. The results pointed out the possibility to obtain normal embryos before puberty (particularly at 180 days) and a positive effect of the sensitisation of aimed organs compared to the exogene gonadotropin action (variant II 150 days).
