This paper is a short monographic presentation of Securinega suffruticosa (Pall) Rehd. species - a frequent Asian species, rare in Europe and non-existent in our flora. The literature data include the spreading area, requirements towards the environment, chemical composition and ways of use, whereas the botanical description was completed with personal observations and determinations. The research results are encouraging, regarding possibilities of introducing into plant culture. The species may be multiplied by sowing directly in the field, in April.
