The agrochemical model includes main annual and perennial crops in Romania. Diagnostic of mineral nutrition disorders is found by examining visual symptoms and making soil and plant chemical analysis (over affected and non-affected plants from the same culture). The model takes into account relevant information about the incidence of some conditions (soil, climate, crop management) that could promote the appearance and/or development of nutritional disorder. An original procedure for interpreting soil and plant analytical data has been developed: values of ratios between data from disorder-affected plants and normal plants lead to the diagnostic in any stage of plant development. Finally, recommendations are formulated for correcting or preventing nutritional disorders. The computer-based system has been developed in order to assist plant disorder diagnosis. The application has a friendly user interface and runs on IBM/PC-compatible computers
