Dynamics of humus in the layer of soils under the influence of mineral fertilizers and liming on long-term experiment

The author presents results obtained in the dynamics study of humus in the layer, under the influence of mineral fertilizers and liming on some long-duration experiments from Fundulea, Livada, Sanandrei and Moara Domneasca. The main indicators examined were: humus content and IOSOS. Evolution of soil humus content was generally positive under the influence of N, P mineral fertilizers. It depended on the development of root biomass that represented the main organic source for humus synthesis in these soils. There is a negative correlation between IOSOS and humus content in calcareous conditions within the long term experiment. The data are important as they help to work out the mathematical models for forecasting agrochemical evolution of soils under the impact of different fertilization treatments.
