Activity of oxidoreductase in the selected soils of Slovakia
1995
Mucha, V.
The study of oxidoreductase activity (catalase - E.C.1.11.1.6, peroxidase - E.C.1.11.1.7, polyphenoloxidase - E.C.1.10.3.1) in selected soils of Slovakia in the geomorphological region of Podunajska Lowland (Fluvi-calcaric Phaeozem, Orthic Luvisol) and of Slovenske stredohorie Mountains (Eutric Cambisol, Eutric Fluvisol) shows in its very close connection with the fertility condition of the soil category. The linear regression model with more variables, used for the statistical evaluation of the dependence of oxidoreductase activity on chemical properties, had shown interesting results. With the increasing of the sorption saturation stage of the soils, the catalase activity increased (significant level - alpha=0.05) as did the peroxidase activity (alpha=0.0001). The values of partial correlation coefficients, which by the quality of humus (CHK/CFK), pH and CFK sorption saturation stage (V) achieve values about 0.9, by the humus content only 0.1 - 0.3, make it possible to say that the quantity of humus does not influence more substantially the activity of tested oxidoreductase
